Hello you guys,
I remember sitting in my garden when I was about 18 day dreaming about the man I would meet, maybe marry, and love. Would I find him? What would he look like? Be like? It turns out I met him in Kinsale and never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the one I picked. 16 years older than me and with every other conceivable difference a girl from the Irish countryside could dream up. This was him. And I love him completely. He has shown me on many occasions what it is to throw life’s cards up in the air.
Including now.
And so I am here to tell you, I am in Paris. The city of love. And style. And croissants. Oh the croissants.
It only took 40 minutes on the Euro Shuttle to get here. The world really has become a small place. It takes me a little more time to process change and settle myself than it does him. But I’m getting there and it really is a dream.
And so we are in Paris, embracing the work-from-anywhere world we all seem to inhabit now. We are staying until the end of June and will see then. My stepdaughter has been here with us for a week and loves the new travel adventures her crazy dad throws up.
We are living in the Latin Quarter. The magic of Notre Dame and the Seine can be felt and seen when we step out our door. Croissants are being consumed and new places are being explored. I am finding my way into routines, the best doggie parks and making lists of things we want to see and do in our free time.
Work goes on, no matter where the laptop sits and my client sessions have been a lovely anchor to the things I know.
I’m excited to have a little more time for writing here alongside working with my clients (and I will be back in the UK and Ireland for session one’s - the first new session we always do in person in your home). I’m excited for it all ♡ A new place. New smells. New inspiration to be found and new food to eat!

Some thoughts from Paris this week:
The coffee is great.
Packing always makes you focus on the ‘best’ of your wardrobe. And dressing in a new place makes you feel more creative, and more inspired to try out new combinations. Using the clothes I have in more ways is fun.
Who you marry (if indeed you choose too) is the most important decision you will ever make - It is who you do alllllllll the big (and small) stuff with. It’s who you share thousands of meals with, it’s who you plan crazy things with. It’s who you do the hard stuff with. It’s who you are your best and worst with.
No matter where you are, or how big the step is, there is comfort in little routines. Finding your local coffee place. Your skincare routine. Hanging your clothes neatly. Figuring out the doggie parks and your favourite supermarket. Little things matter to feeling grounded and secure.
Parisians are so far much friendlier than people say! I think having the dog helps.
You can travel far from home but to have a friend you have to be a friend. The world is so small now and lives are so busy. I realise it doesn’t matter where you are in the world. You can keep in touch with the people who matter most to you. Distance can make you reach out & plan more trips.
Live the life you want to live. If you don’t feel sure what that is, in the words of Martha Beck - Move towards what feels warm. No one else’s blueprint of a good and happy life will look like yours. Stepping away from anything society tells us we should be doing is hard and it can constantly make you doubt yourself. I have been through this in the choices I’ve made and at times it has been really hard. Trust your instincts and work on figuring out what you value most in this world. Though adventures like this scare me, It reminds me that I value freedom above all else.
You need comfortable shoes in Paris ;-)

I also quite liked this outfit! A dress from Inwear from last Summer. Vintage Mens Jacket, Sessun Handbag and New Balance Runners.
